Episode 29
Dear Solo Coach: How do I repurpose a piece of content without starting from scratch every single time?
This is the companion audio for this week's Dear Solo Coach Letter.
I answer one question each week in the letter. If you'd like to receive the letters, you can subscribe at: theeleveatedmind.com/letters

As I think on this question further,
Speaker:you know, and all the conversations that I've had and that I do have with coaches
Speaker:as well as just people building other kinds of businesses,
Speaker:I'm reminded of perceptions and how perceptions
Speaker:or perhaps we should call it temporary beliefs influence our behavior.
Speaker:So let me let me put this into real words because
Speaker:I you know, those are my inner thinkings and they tend to not be
Speaker:~ so ~ straightforward.
Speaker:You assume that writing content,
Speaker:perhaps, is a laborious thing.
Speaker:Like it's gonna take hours and days and even that feels
Speaker:awful, right? Like who wants to do that?
Speaker:So you don't do it.
Speaker:And every time you think about it,
Speaker:the lore around the work, it just grows bigger and bigger and bigger.
Speaker:It's impossible, you tell yourself.
Speaker:It's for those people who have big teams,
Speaker:you tell yourself. Or if I use AI,
Speaker:it will just become junk and therefore be pointless and nobody will read it.
Speaker:And yeah, you know. And the real thing that's going on here is.
Speaker:Trust in your own competence. And some of you may scoff at me when
Speaker:you know having heard that, but but just bear with me here.
Speaker:Belief that you can do it
Speaker:and even more find a way to make it simple.
Speaker:Do you do you believe that in everything that you do in your business?
Speaker:Believe that you can do it,
Speaker:and even more so you can.
Speaker:Find a simple way. I believe that anything
Speaker:is possible, even in your business.
Speaker:Anything is possible. If you want content creation to be simple,
Speaker:take very little time and be super effective.
Speaker:Done. You can figure this out.
Speaker:I remember a couple of months ago,
Speaker:I had to we have
Speaker:one of the extra bedroom that we have in our house.
Speaker:~ the closet in there, which was one of the bigger closets that we had,
Speaker:ironically, had been had become the throw everything in closet.
Speaker:You know you know what that is,
Speaker:because you have one too. But we were repurposing this bedroom.
Speaker:So I needed to clean out that closet.
Speaker:It and I'd known this for months.
Speaker:I'd known this for months, but do you think I did it?
Speaker:No, of course I didn't do it. Because I'd been avoiding it and feeling like
Speaker:it was going to be a huge mess,
Speaker:and it would take me days.
Speaker:And I that's one thing that I will always avoid,
Speaker:is something that I perceive to be super meticulous.
Speaker:And so of course I'd put it off and I'd let that belief build until
Speaker:I wanted to just set fire to it rather than go through everything inside.
Speaker:That seemed like the easier route.
Speaker:But regardless, you know,
Speaker:it was a Saturday. I was like the the next day some of the work on the room
Speaker:was to begin. ~ so s it had to be done and I went in there and I
Speaker:I opened the closet door and I grabbed one box.
Speaker:And then I grabbed the next and the next.
Speaker:And an hour later it was done.
Speaker:One hour. All of that mental stress over
Speaker:one hour of my weekend. This is what I'm talking about.
Speaker:Perceptions and how much they influence our behavior.
Speaker:So whether it's just you or you and AI,
Speaker:you can create the content that you need to grow your business and you
Speaker:can learn to repurpose one piece and in doing so create
Speaker:a much simpler system that takes a very small piece of your week rather than
Speaker:the current system, which is not really a system,
Speaker:it's you stressing over it, avoiding it,
Speaker:putting it off, creating these gaps and and
Speaker:inconsistencies and yeah,
Speaker:there you have it. Like the mess,
Speaker:right? The mess. The mess is really in the perception and not the actual doing.
Speaker:Like my closet clean out project.
Speaker:So you can do this and you can actually feel good about it too.
Speaker:You might even enjoy it. Who knows?
Speaker:I just had s ~ a ~ a woman message me to say that
Speaker:she actually enjoyed creating
Speaker:A piece of content that ~ I had helped her understand how to create rather than
Speaker:the stress that it used to cause her.
Speaker:And you know, this is very timely too,
Speaker:like this whole question of content creation,
Speaker:because I built this thing, I'm always building these things,
Speaker:right? But I built this thing called the binge the bingeable,
Speaker:let me get the word out right,
Speaker:the bingeable business recipe.
Speaker:And the reason I did it was because
Speaker:I had been hearing from and it's not even just hearing,
Speaker:'cause I've done this. I've been in this place where you're all over
Speaker:the place trying to create content and it's stressing you out,
Speaker:it's too much work, and you know that there has to be a better way.
Speaker:And so one of the things that I've learned in all of my marketing work is,
Speaker:of course, you know, certain platforms are for certain audiences,
Speaker:and certain platforms are also in regards to you
Speaker:For certain the certain kinds of work that you prefer internationally better at,
Speaker:whether it's writing, whether it's video,
Speaker:whether it's audio, whatever that is.
Speaker:And so this recipe creator essentially l asks you eight questions
Speaker:and it looks at that to say, who are you as a person?
Speaker:Who are your people? Where do they naturally gravitate?
Speaker:And based on all of that, here are the two platforms.
Speaker:If you only had two.
Speaker:These would be the very best ones for you and why.
Speaker:So if you would like
Speaker:to it it doesn't cost anything.
Speaker:Again, I build these things to give you insight and just help make your work easier.
Speaker:So it's at bingeablebusiness.com.
Speaker:I'll put a link down in these notes as well,
Speaker:but give it a try and tell me what you think of it.
Speaker:I think it's actually super helpful.
Speaker:And ~ don't worry about the content piece so much.
Speaker:You can figure it out, and I'll help you any way that I can.
Speaker:Much love.
